Current Me |
I am now on a "Don't Listen To My Body" diet! It is screaming at me at 11 pm that I'm starving and I need to feed it...sweets of course! Come mid-day, again...shouting is happening from my belly...feed me! I can't listen anymore since it has only made me gain 30 pounds that I now have to work hard to lose again! Thankfully, I didn't gain the whole 50 pounds I had lost about 5 years ago. I fell off the wagon but I'm climbing back on.
They say that when you go through a divorce you lose weight...you are dating again so you want to look sexy and healthy. Yep...I did that! 50 pounds! Then two years ago I met my Soul Mate...Scott. I guess baking cakes hasn't helped, but I've also become comfortable and happy and very well fed by one of the best cooks I've ever met! He too, has gained about 30 pounds. So we are now eating healthy, eating out less and becoming more active again.
I had a setback two months ago, with a hysterectomy which enabled me to sit around more and become lazy. Since I clean houses, I've always been active but I was off work for 5 weeks. My weight climbed and climbed even faster.
I started going to the gym and walking...very slowly at first and then gaining speed until my 6 week mark came after my surgery. Last Monday, Scott and I started doing the Insanity workout together. Ok...Yes...it is INSANE!!!! The fit test nearly killed us and the second day I was begging for a beginner video. Scott said...this is the beginner video. Then, later realized that it was day 2, MONTH 2!!! No wonder why it was so hard. haha We then got on track and started at the beginning.

I have since lost an inch all around and 3 pounds down. Scott is almost 10 pounds down but hasn't lost as much in inches. Just proves that Men and Women lose weight in different ways. Unfortunately...I've lost most of my in my boobs! Yep...its a bummer but I'll trade it for looking better any day.
My goal is to be back to the weight I was in the photo to the right. I went from a size 16 to a size 4 and weighed 140 pounds.

Hey found you through the Blog Hop till you Drop linky party. Here's a random fact just for you, if your body is craving chocolate, it means that you are low in magnesium, which chocolate is full of. If you are craving other lollie, it means that your blood sugar levels have dropped.
ReplyDeleteAhhh...thanks for letting me! I will have to find something to replace chocolate with to get that magnesium!

ReplyDeleteTotally get the weight issues. I've been battling my weight for 20 years. Almost 2 years ago I lost 55 lbs. and am battling to keep it off. I've gained 10 lbs. and am determined to stop there. I still hadn't reached my goal with the 55 lbs. off so I'm dragging. Fun On A Dime blog is starting a health fitness challenge.
