I got Scott a new orchid. It is knows as a Lady Slipper Orchid and is so cool and pink...for Valentine's Day. We collect orchids and for our special occasions we get a new one. This baby is our 19th one.
Scott added these little "Love Dolls" to my present. I thought they were so cute! You are supposed to pull them apart and you are bonded together forever.
Saturdays are also my day to change our large chalkboard to a new quote. So, my inspiration is from the movie P.S. I Love You, that we watched last night. She said "My job is to create." and I loved that...so...here is my chalkboard for this week.
I always draw out a quick sketch of what I want the board to look like so I know how to center it and what type of lettering I want. It gives me a chance to figure out how words will fit together as well.
Tip: Always use wet chalk. I keep a small container near to dip my chalk into. It will look soft and faded at first and will get brighter as it dries.

This is very pretty and so French for some reason :) I love it! I need to make one. I think it is great to have a quote where you can see it everyday. Amazing idea!
ReplyDeleteI would love if you link this to my link party Monday morning!
